OH MY GOD, THIS TOOK FOREVER!!!!!!!! BLUUHHHHHHHH!!!!!! but hey I got the coloring done in one day, and on the first of the new year too! Yeahhhhhh, this was something that was going to kill my little art block, and usually drawing dragons and monsters are relaxing to me, well let's just say things got out of hand and the only thing relaxing about this was the sketch and the coloring. Damn muscles! (and yes I slay art blocks with dragons)

Anyways this monstrosity was based off of 'Phantom Fluorite' otherwise known as 'Alien Fluorite' ( 25.media.tumblr.com/bd242b70dd… ) (no joke that is an actual stone).

I would love some feed back on this. And as some advice, if you don't have the patience, don't come up with and muscular anatomy of a fantasy creature that doesn't look like anything from nature. It could slowly sap the life out of you, trust me this would have been done sooner otherwise.

I love the effect of the see through skin, have you ever read the webcomic Goblins? It had this ogre with a see-through mouth (something to do with deals with demons) and one of the best parts was when he got socked in the mouth and was spitting blood.
